Every Wednesday starting at 4:30, New World Brewery (1313 8th Ave., Ybor City, (813) 248-4969) bossman Steve Bird fires up the grill. $5 gets you a plate of his smoked “yardbird” (that’s chicken to the layman), baked beans and garlic bread. Then there’s the regular happy hour draft specials to go along with.

New World always has some great beer on Tap. I have not had the chicken, but I can’t think of a better combination: BBQ and beer. Gotta get over there one evening and sample the offering.
