Bells Two Hearted Ale – a hop heads delight

As I promised in my previous post, I would be detailing a bit more about the great beers that have been populating the store shelves at Publix. What better beer to start with then one of my favorite: A delicious American IPA from Bell’s Brewery, Inc in Kalamazoo Michigan.

India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Bell’s Two Hearted IPA is a winner in my book. On my last trip to the store, I cleared out their stock of six packs. Unfortunately, subsequent trips back to the store have yet to yield any more Two Hearted Ale. No worries though. There are several Publix stores in my area to check in addition to beer stores such as The World of Beer and Shep’s.

Appearance: Dark orange/amber color.

Aroma/Bouquet: The hop aroma is amazing. It feels like you are sitting in a rose garden when drinking this beer.

Taste: Poured into a pint glass, this IPA is perfectly balanced with a wonderful floral/citrus flavor. This beer is so smooth that at 7% alcohol, it is almost dangerous. Very drinkable.
